Christoph Horst is a patent engineer at the firm Peterreins Schley. He is primarily involved in patent drafting and prosecution work, but he is also experienced in due diligence and freedom to operate work.
From 2014 to 2019 Christoph Horst worked in R&D at large German automotive supplier gaining in-depth technical knowledge in the realm of system engineering and product development. During his work in automotive industry he made a contribution to developing various mechatronic actuation systems for dual and decoupling clutches in both conventional and e-mobility/hybrid drivetrains.
Prior to shifting gears towards engineering and industry, Christoph Horst acquired a sound background in theoretical and mathematical physics working as a doctoral and postdoctoral researcher at University of Hamburg. Fields of research included high-energy physics, grand unified theory, quantum field theory and supergravity. His PhD thesis is on “Electrically gauged N=4 supergravities in D=4 with N=2 vacua” and his diploma thesis is on “E6-symmetric SUSY-GUT model without diquark couplings”.
