Martin Obster is a Patent Engineer at the firm Peterreins Schley. He is primarily involved in patent drafting and prosecution work, but he is also experienced in due diligence and freedom to operate work.
Martin Obster studied Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and IST University of Lisbon, focusing on Aerodynamics, Aircraft and Helicopter Design, Flight Propulsion Systems and Aerospace Structures. Subject of his Master's Thesis was the Aerodynamic Modelling of Counter-Rotating UAV Propellers and Configurations of Equivalent Mode of Action, carried out at the Institute of Aircraft Design (TUM-LLS).
Besides his high school education, Martin Obster completed a carpentry apprenticeship and received his journeyman's certificate. Alongside his studies, he worked for MTU Aero Engines in the field of Engineering Support Processes, for 3DSE Management Consultants in the field of Innovation and Product Development and for the Gear Research Centre (FZG) of the Technical University Munich. During his internship at BMW AG, Martin Obster gained insights in automotive engineering, especially in Complete Vehicle Development.
